Dwarf Caravans and Elf Companies

Chapter 2: The Shadow of the Past

- Plying the roads between Thorin's Halls and Bree, and Bree to Rivendell, and Bree and Orthrikar in the North Downs.
- Seen as two wagons piled with goods and drawn by horses or Aurocs, with a few Dwarves riding atop and walking beside.
- The Caravan will act as a moving Stable Master.
- Selecting one of the Caravan's NPCs will bring up a Swift Travel menu.
- For a fee, clicking on a selection will place you on the Caravan for a few moments and then port you to your chosen destination.
- To use the Caravan you must have first visited the destination and have Swift Travel rations in your inventory.
- Caravans will be useful for those without horses traveling between settlements who happen upon them.
- The Caravan appears as a moving icon on your mini-map, so they are never in the same place at all times.
- The Caravan can be attacked by roaving Orcs and Goblins, delaying its movement, but not for long.
- Future routes will open up between Rivendell and Erebor, Bree and Tharbad, and Tharbad and Edoras.
Boats
- As Grey Havens are added, include boat route from Celondim to that city.
- As South Farthing is added, include boat route from Buckleberry Ferry down to Sarn Fords
- As Tharbad is added, include boat route from the bridge down to Lond Daer near the coast.
- As Gondor is added, ship routes from Gray Havens to Lond Daer, Lond Daer to Pelargir.
